Detainee Mail

Detainees are permitted to send and receive correspondence. Anyone wanting to send correspondence should address letters as follows:

Letters Containing contraband will be returned to sender. Detainees are not allowed to receive items such as:

  • Anything gang related
  • Blank/ Colored Paper
  • Cash, checks, or money orders
  • Crayon, marker or Colored pencil (blue or black ink only)
  • Inappropriate pictures or Polaroid pictures
  • Magazine articles or Newspaper
  • Maximum of 10 photos
  • No makeup/ lipstick or perfume
  • Paper Clips or Staples
  • Photos larger than 5 inches by 7 inches
  • Stamps
  • Stickers (to include address labels) or glue
  • Tape

Important:
To ensure your mail gets delivered, you must include the facility name and state where the facility is located, as well as the inmate’s unique identifier. Please also note that the sender’s full name and physical address must be clearly written on the top left corner of the envelope.
