Mission

The Valencia County Purchasing Department is responsible for ensuring the County’s purchasing activities are conducted in a fair, transparent, efficient, and responsible manner. The department supports County departments in obtaining the goods, services, equipment, and professional services needed to provide quality public services to the community.

The Purchasing Department administers procurement processes, manages competitive solicitations and contracts, promotes responsible use of taxpayer funds, and works to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and County purchasing laws, policies, and procedures.

Through sound procurement practices, the department strives to achieve the best value for Valencia County while maintaining integrity, accountability, and equal opportunity for qualified vendors and businesses.
