Valencia County Parks & Recreation works to enhance the quality of life for residents by providing safe, accessible, welcoming parks, recreational facilities, programs, community spaces, and activities for people of all ages and abilities.

Who can use Valencia County parks and recreation facilities?

Are Valencia County parks free to use?
Many of our parks, trails, playgrounds, outdoor recreation areas, and community spaces are available for public use at no cost. Some programs, activities, or facility rentals may have associated fees.
Can I rent a Valencia County community center for an event?
Yes! Several Valencia County community centers are available for rental for events, meetings, celebrations, classes, gatherings, and other community activities.

Yes. Several Valencia County parks feature playgrounds designed to provide safe, fun, and engaging opportunities for children and families. Some locations offer age-appropriate play areas and additional recreational amenities.
Are there accessible parks and trails?
Valencia County is committed to improving accessibility throughout its parks and recreation system. Improvements include ADA-accessible trails, accessible recreation areas, and facility upgrades designed to help residents of all abilities enjoy the outdoors.
What recreational opportunities are available for youth?
Youth can enjoy a variety of opportunities throughout the County, including playgrounds, basketball courts, walking trails, outdoor fitness areas, sports spaces, community programs, educational activities, and special events.

What opportunities are available for seniors?
Valencia County provides opportunities for seniors to remain active, connected, and engaged. Depending on the location, services may include senior meals, active engagement programs, recreational activities, walking opportunities, social activities, and community gatherings.
Does Valencia County provide senior meals?
Yes. The Meadow Lake Multi-Generational Community Center provides senior meals for individuals 60 years of age and older. Meals are provided from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Are there educational programs at the community centers?
Yes. Valencia County partners with community organizations to bring educational opportunities directly into local community centers.
Programs may include early childhood education, English-language classes, GED preparation, financial literacy, digital technology education, and other community learning opportunities.
What is a multi-generational community center?
A multi-generational community center is designed to serve multiple generations in one welcoming space. These facilities provide opportunities for children, youth, adults, families, and seniors to participate in recreation, education, wellness activities, social programs, and community events.
Do Valencia County facilities partner with other organizations?
Yes. Partnerships are an important part of how Parks & Recreation expands services and opportunities for residents.
Our community partners include educational organizations, nonprofit organizations, volunteer groups, senior programs, youth programs, and community organizations that provide services and activities to local residents.
Can community organizations use County facilities?
Community organizations may be able to use or rent County facilities depending on the location, availability, and intended activity. Contact Parks & Recreation to discuss your organization’s needs and available options.
What outdoor recreation opportunities are available?
Valencia County parks offer a variety of outdoor opportunities, including:
- Walking and ADA-accessible trails
- Playgrounds

Can I host an event at a County Park?
Some parks and outdoor spaces may be available for organized events, gatherings, or activities. Reservations or permits may be required depending on the location, size, and type of event.

How can I report a maintenance or safety concern at a County park?
Residents are encouraged to report issues such as damaged playground equipment, unsafe conditions, vandalism, maintenance concerns, or other facility issues to the Parks & Recreation Department so they can be addressed appropriately.
