Operations
The Valencia County Fire Department has 8 Fire Stations, a Fire Training Center and the Fire Administration Building. The department has 8 first out Fire Engines, 1 Ladder Company, 1 Special Operations/Service Company, 7 transport capable Rescue/Ambulances, 10 Tenders (2000-3000 gallons), 2 Type 3 Engines and 6 Type 6 Brush Trucks. The department also has a mobile command center and 2 UTV’s.
The department runs approximately 550 calls per month. Firefighters are IFSAC certified, and are NWCG Wildland FF certified.
The Fire Operations section of the department is led by Assistant Chief Jaime Gonzales.
