Special Operations (TEMS, Drone, Wildland)

The Valencia County Fire Department has 3 Special Operations Divisions.

TEMS

Our TEMS (Tactical Emergency Medical Support) Team works with the Valencia County Regional SWAT Team to provide medical support for law enforcement missions. The TEMS members train regularly with the SWAT Team, and attend Basic SWAT School.

Drone

The VCFD Drone Team provides operational assistance at Wildland Fires, Structure Fires, Search and Rescue and Law Enforcement Support. The team is equipped with two drones, one of which has thermal imagery, and a special response unit with tv screens to live feed video. Drone operators train monthly and are Part 107 licensed.
