| Background Checks | The Sheriff’s Office does not do background checks. We can provide a local records check from Sheriff’s office information only. Each page of the reports will be a dollar a page. We do not provide other local agency records checks. The State of New Mexico, in Santa Fe, does state background checks and the last recorded fee(s) were $20.00 per report. Crime Stoppers
The Valencia County Sheriff’s Office works in cooperation with crime stoppers. Crime tips can be reported to crime stoppers at 505-843-STOP (7867) or Crime Stoppers New Mexico website.
