About the District 3 Commissioner

Morris Sparkman
County Commission Chairman, District 3

I am currently serving my third year in office, having been elected in 2022 to represent District III in Valencia County. As a lifelong resident of the county, I am deeply connected to our community and committed to addressing the priorities and challenges facing our neighbors. I am a 2013 graduate of Valencia High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Denver.

In addition to my service as County Commissioner, I work as a Senior Engineering Manager at AV Inc., where I lead the design and development of High-Energy Laser (HEL) defense systems that support national security initiatives.

Outside of my professional and public service responsibilities, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Ashley, and our daughter, Ellery.
