Animal Services
The Valencia County Animal Control Division is committed to provide quality service for the well being of the people and the animals of Valencia County.
Assessor
The Assessor’s Office is responsible for producing the annual property tax roll to the County Treasurer in a timely and accurate manner, notifying property owners of their assessed property value, verifying, maintaining records, and documenting ownership changes recorded in the Clerk’s Office.
Budget & Finance
The mission of the Valencia County Finance Department is to bolster the public trust by continuously focusing on the highest standards of financial control, accountability, safeguarding of assets and accurate reporting for financial decision making purposes.
Clerk
The Valencia County Clerk’s office pledges to provide courteous, efficient and professional service to the residents of Valencia County. We are devoted to developing a camaraderie with residents and elected officials to strengthen the customer service experience that we provide. We are committed to conducting efficient, secure, fair and impartial federal, state and local elections to boost public confidence in the electoral process. We will focus on innovative solutions and continue to raise the bar in all aspects of our business and services.
Code Enforcement
Code Enforcement is responsible for the functions of the Animal Control Division and Building Permits and Inspections.
Detention Center
The Valencia County Detention Center strives to operate an efficient facility, with fiscal responsibility to the taxpayers of the County.
Emergency Management
The Valencia County Office of Emergency Management strives to create a secure and resilient county with the capabilities required across the whole community to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from the threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk.
Fire Department
The duties and responsibilities of the Fire Administration Office are to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Career Firefighter/EMTs and oversees the counties Volunteer Fire Departments.
Human Resources
Human Resources is responsible for providing management of claims processing, safety and loss initiatives.
Indigent & Loss Control
The Valencia County Indigent Fund provides financial assistance to indigent Valencia County residents for their health care services.

Older Americans Program
The Valencia County Older Americans Program offers a variety of activities, meals, and support services for seniors at local community centers throughout the county.
Planning & Zoning
The duties of Planning and Zoning is to develop and update the Comprehensive Plan and assist the Planning and Zoning Commission with issues related to land use planning.

Rural Addressing
The Rural Addressing Office is responsible for assigning E-911 physical addresses to every residential and commercial structure in the unincorporated areas of Valencia County.

The mission of the Valencia County Sheriff’s Department is to fulfill the law enforcement needs of our community with the highest degree of fairness, professionalism and integrity. In partnership with the citizens of the county, we will provide service in an ethical and fiscally responsible manner, while preserving the rights of all individuals.
